Surah Al-An'am, Ayah 43 (6:43)

ٱلْأَنْعَام

فَلَوْلَآ إِذْ جَآءَهُم بَأْسُنَا تَضَرَّعُوا۟ وَلَٰكِن قَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ …

Quran 6:43 is ayah 43 of Surah Al-An'am (“The Cattle”), a Meccan surah of 165 ayahs. It is in Juz 7, on page 132 of the Madani Mushaf.

فَلَوْلَآإِذْجَآءَهُمبَأْسُنَاتَضَرَّعُوا۟وَلَٰكِنقَسَتْقُلُوبُهُمْوَزَيَّنَلَهُمُٱلشَّيْطَٰنُمَاكَانُوا۟يَعْمَلُونَ٤٣
falawlā idh jāahum basunā taḍarraʿū walākin qasat qulūbuhum wazayyana lahumu l-shayṭānu mā kānū yaʿmalūna

Then why, when Our punishment came to them, did they not humble themselves? But their hearts became hardened, and Satan made attractive to them that which they were doing.(43)
