Surah Al-Anbya, Ayah 90 (21:90)

ٱلْأَنْبِيَاء

فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُۥ وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥ يَحْيَىٰ وَأَصْلَحْنَا لَهُۥ زَوْجَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ …

Quran 21:90 is ayah 90 of Surah Al-Anbya (“The Prophets”), a Meccan surah of 112 ayahs. It is in Juz 17, on page 329 of the Madani Mushaf.

21:90
فَٱسْتَجَبْنَالَهُۥوَوَهَبْنَالَهُۥيَحْيَىٰوَأَصْلَحْنَالَهُۥزَوْجَهُۥٓ ۚإِنَّهُمْكَانُوا۟يُسَٰرِعُونَفِىٱلْخَيْرَٰتِوَيَدْعُونَنَارَغَبًاوَرَهَبًا ۖوَكَانُوا۟لَنَاخَٰشِعِينَ٩٠
fa-is'tajabnā lahu wawahabnā lahu yaḥyā wa-aṣlaḥnā lahu zawjahu innahum kānū yusāriʿūna fī l-khayrāti wayadʿūnanā raghaban warahaban wakānū lanā khāshiʿīna

So We responded to him, and We gave to him John, and amended for him his wife. Indeed, they used to hasten to good deeds and supplicate Us in hope and fear, and they were to Us humbly submissive.(90)

  19. خَٰشِعِينَkhāshiʿīnahumbly submissive
