Surah Al-Anfal, Ayah 13 (8:13)

ٱلْأَنْفَال

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ شَآقُّوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ ۚ وَمَن يُشَاقِقِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ …

Quran 8:13 is ayah 13 of Surah Al-Anfal (“The Spoils of War”), a Medinan surah of 75 ayahs. It is in Juz 9, on page 178 of the Madani Mushaf.

ذَٰلِكَبِأَنَّهُمْشَآقُّوا۟ٱللَّهَوَرَسُولَهُۥ ۚوَمَنيُشَاقِقِٱللَّهَوَرَسُولَهُۥفَإِنَّٱللَّهَشَدِيدُٱلْعِقَابِ١٣
dhālika bi-annahum shāqqū l-laha warasūlahu waman yushāqiqi l-laha warasūlahu fa-inna l-laha shadīdu l-ʿiqābi

That is because they opposed Allāh and His Messenger. And whoever opposes Allāh and His Messenger - indeed, Allāh is severe in penalty.(13)
