Surah Al-Anfal, Ayah 39 (8:39)

ٱلْأَنْفَال

وَقَٰتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّىٰ لَا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ ٱلدِّينُ كُلُّهُۥ لِلَّهِ ۚ فَإِنِ ٱنتَهَوْا۟ فَإِنَّ …

Quran 8:39 is ayah 39 of Surah Al-Anfal (“The Spoils of War”), a Medinan surah of 75 ayahs. It is in Juz 9, on page 181 of the Madani Mushaf.

8:39
وَقَٰتِلُوهُمْحَتَّىٰلَاتَكُونَفِتْنَةٌوَيَكُونَٱلدِّينُكُلُّهُۥلِلَّهِ ۚفَإِنِٱنتَهَوْا۟فَإِنَّٱللَّهَبِمَايَعْمَلُونَبَصِيرٌ٣٩
waqātilūhum ḥattā lā takūna fit'natun wayakūna l-dīnu kulluhu lillahi fa-ini intahaw fa-inna l-laha bimā yaʿmalūna baṣīrun

And fight against them until there is no fitnah and [until] the religion [i.e., worship], all of it, is for Allāh. And if they cease - then indeed, Allāh is Seeing of what they do.(39)
