Surah Al-Anfal, Ayah 54 (8:54)

ٱلْأَنْفَال

كَدَأْبِ ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ ۙ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَذَّبُوا۟ بَِٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُم …

Quran 8:54 is ayah 54 of Surah Al-Anfal (“The Spoils of War”), a Medinan surah of 75 ayahs. It is in Juz 10, on page 184 of the Madani Mushaf.

كَدَأْبِءَالِفِرْعَوْنَ ۙوَٱلَّذِينَمِنقَبْلِهِمْ ۚكَذَّبُوا۟بَِٔايَٰتِرَبِّهِمْفَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُمبِذُنُوبِهِمْوَأَغْرَقْنَآءَالَفِرْعَوْنَ ۚوَكُلٌّكَانُوا۟ظَٰلِمِينَ٥٤
kadabi āli fir'ʿawna wa-alladhīna min qablihim kadhabū biāyāti rabbihim fa-ahlaknāhum bidhunūbihim wa-aghraqnā āla fir'ʿawna wakullun kānū ẓālimīna

[Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and of those before them. They denied the signs of their Lord, so We destroyed them for their sins, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh. And all [of them] were wrongdoers.(54)
