Surah Al-A'raf, Ayah 77 (7:77)

ٱلْأَعْرَاف

فَعَقَرُوا۟ ٱلنَّاقَةَ وَعَتَوْا۟ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ وَقَالُوا۟ يَٰصَٰلِحُ ٱئْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ …

Quran 7:77 is ayah 77 of Surah Al-A'raf (“The Heights”), a Meccan surah of 206 ayahs. It is in Juz 8, on page 160 of the Madani Mushaf.

7:77
فَعَقَرُوا۟ٱلنَّاقَةَوَعَتَوْا۟عَنْأَمْرِرَبِّهِمْوَقَالُوا۟يَٰصَٰلِحُٱئْتِنَابِمَاتَعِدُنَآإِنكُنتَمِنَٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ٧٧
faʿaqarū l-nāqata waʿataw ʿan amri rabbihim waqālū yāṣāliḥu i'tinā bimā taʿidunā in kunta mina l-mur'salīna

So they hamstrung the she-camel and were insolent toward the command of their Lord and said, "O Ṣāliḥ, bring us what you promise us, if you should be of the messengers."(77)
