Surah Al-Jathiyah, Ayah 18 (45:18)

ٱلْجَاثِيَة

ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَٰكَ عَلَىٰ شَرِيعَةٍ مِّنَ ٱلْأَمْرِ فَٱتَّبِعْهَا وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا …

Quran 45:18 is ayah 18 of Surah Al-Jathiyah (“The Crouching”), a Meccan surah of 37 ayahs. It is in Juz 25, on page 500 of the Madani Mushaf.

ثُمَّجَعَلْنَٰكَعَلَىٰشَرِيعَةٍمِّنَٱلْأَمْرِفَٱتَّبِعْهَاوَلَاتَتَّبِعْأَهْوَآءَٱلَّذِينَلَايَعْلَمُونَ١٨
thumma jaʿalnāka ʿalā sharīʿatin mina l-amri fa-ittabiʿ'hā walā tattabiʿ ahwāa alladhīna lā yaʿlamūna

Then We put you, [O Muḥammad], on an ordained way concerning the matter [of religion]; so follow it and do not follow the inclinations of those who do not know.(18)
