Surah Al-Munafiqun, Ayah 3 (63:3)

ٱلْمُنَافِقُون

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ ءَامَنُوا۟ ثُمَّ كَفَرُوا۟ فَطُبِعَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ

Quran 63:3 is ayah 3 of Surah Al-Munafiqun (“The Hypocrites”), a Medinan surah of 11 ayahs. It is in Juz 28, on page 554 of the Madani Mushaf.

ذَٰلِكَبِأَنَّهُمْءَامَنُوا۟ثُمَّكَفَرُوا۟فَطُبِعَعَلَىٰقُلُوبِهِمْفَهُمْلَايَفْقَهُونَ٣
dhālika bi-annahum āmanū thumma kafarū faṭubiʿa ʿalā qulūbihim fahum lā yafqahūna

That is because they believed, and then they disbelieved; so their hearts were sealed over, and they do not understand.(3)
