ٱلْمُنَافِقُون

سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ أَسْتَغْفَرْتَ لَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ لَن يَغْفِرَ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ …

Quran 63:6 is ayah 6 of Surah Al-Munafiqun (“The Hypocrites”), a Medinan surah of 11 ayahs. It is in Juz 28, on page 555 of the Madani Mushaf.

63:6
سَوَآءٌعَلَيْهِمْأَسْتَغْفَرْتَلَهُمْأَمْلَمْتَسْتَغْفِرْلَهُمْلَنيَغْفِرَٱللَّهُلَهُمْ ۚإِنَّٱللَّهَلَايَهْدِىٱلْقَوْمَٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ٦
sawāon ʿalayhim astaghfarta lahum am lam tastaghfir lahum lan yaghfira l-lahu lahum inna l-laha lā yahdī l-qawma l-fāsiqīna

It is all the same for them whether you ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them; never will Allāh forgive them. Indeed, Allāh does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.(6)
