Surah Al-Qasas, Ayah 55 (28:55)

ٱلْقَصَص

وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا۟ ٱللَّغْوَ أَعْرَضُوا۟ عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا۟ لَنَآ أَعْمَٰلُنَا وَلَكُمْ أَعْمَٰلُكُمْ …

Quran 28:55 is ayah 55 of Surah Al-Qasas (“The Stories”), a Meccan surah of 88 ayahs. It is in Juz 20, on page 392 of the Madani Mushaf.

28:55
وَإِذَاسَمِعُوا۟ٱللَّغْوَأَعْرَضُوا۟عَنْهُوَقَالُوا۟لَنَآأَعْمَٰلُنَاوَلَكُمْأَعْمَٰلُكُمْسَلَٰمٌعَلَيْكُمْلَانَبْتَغِىٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ٥٥
wa-idhā samiʿū l-laghwa aʿraḍū ʿanhu waqālū lanā aʿmālunā walakum aʿmālukum salāmun ʿalaykum lā nabtaghī l-jāhilīna

And when they hear ill speech, they turn away from it and say, "For us are our deeds, and for you are your deeds. Peace will be upon you; we seek not the ignorant."(55)
