Surah Ali 'Imran, Ayah 72 (3:72)

آلِ عِمْرَان

وَقَالَت طَّآئِفَةٌ مِّنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ءَامِنُوا۟ بِٱلَّذِىٓ أُنزِلَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ …

Quran 3:72 is ayah 72 of Surah Ali 'Imran (“Family of Imran”), a Medinan surah of 200 ayahs. It is in Juz 3, on page 59 of the Madani Mushaf.

وَقَالَتطَّآئِفَةٌمِّنْأَهْلِٱلْكِتَٰبِءَامِنُوا۟بِٱلَّذِىٓأُنزِلَعَلَىٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُوا۟وَجْهَٱلنَّهَارِوَٱكْفُرُوٓا۟ءَاخِرَهُۥلَعَلَّهُمْيَرْجِعُونَ٧٢
waqālat ṭāifatun min ahli l-kitābi āminū bi-alladhī unzila ʿalā alladhīna āmanū wajha l-nahāri wa-uk'furū ākhirahu laʿallahum yarjiʿūna

And a faction of the People of the Scripture say [to each other], "Believe in that which was revealed to the believers at the beginning of the day and reject it at its end that perhaps they will return [i.e., abandon their religion],(72)
