Surah Ash-Shuraa, Ayah 27 (42:27)

ٱلشُّورَىٰ

۞ وَلَوْ بَسَطَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلرِّزْقَ لِعِبَادِهِۦ لَبَغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَٰكِن يُنَزِّلُ بِقَدَرٍ مَّا …

Quran 42:27 is ayah 27 of Surah Ash-Shuraa (“The Consultation”), a Meccan surah of 53 ayahs. It is in Juz 25, on page 486 of the Madani Mushaf.

42:27
۞ وَلَوْبَسَطَٱللَّهُٱلرِّزْقَلِعِبَادِهِۦلَبَغَوْا۟فِىٱلْأَرْضِوَلَٰكِنيُنَزِّلُبِقَدَرٍمَّايَشَآءُ ۚإِنَّهُۥبِعِبَادِهِۦخَبِيرٌۢبَصِيرٌ٢٧
walaw basaṭa l-lahu l-riz'qa liʿibādihi labaghaw fī l-arḍi walākin yunazzilu biqadarin mā yashāu innahu biʿibādihi khabīrun baṣīrun

And if Allāh had extended [excessively] provision for His servants, they would have committed tyranny throughout the earth. But He sends [it] down in an amount which He wills. Indeed He is, of His servants, Aware and Seeing.(27)
