Surah At-Tawbah, Ayah 127 (9:127)

ٱلتَّوْبَة

وَإِذَا مَآ أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ نَّظَرَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ هَلْ يَرَىٰكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ ثُمَّ …

Quran 9:127 is ayah 127 of Surah At-Tawbah (“The Repentance”), a Medinan surah of 129 ayahs. It is in Juz 11, on page 207 of the Madani Mushaf.

9:127
وَإِذَامَآأُنزِلَتْسُورَةٌنَّظَرَبَعْضُهُمْإِلَىٰبَعْضٍهَلْيَرَىٰكُممِّنْأَحَدٍثُمَّٱنصَرَفُوا۟ ۚصَرَفَٱللَّهُقُلُوبَهُمبِأَنَّهُمْقَوْمٌلَّايَفْقَهُونَ١٢٧
wa-idhā mā unzilat sūratun naẓara baʿḍuhum ilā baʿḍin hal yarākum min aḥadin thumma inṣarafū ṣarafa l-lahu qulūbahum bi-annahum qawmun lā yafqahūna

And whenever a sūrah is revealed, they look at each other, [as if saying], "Does anyone see you?" and then they dismiss themselves. Allāh has dismissed their hearts because they are a people who do not understand.(127)
