Surah At-Tawbah, Ayah 59 (9:59)

ٱلتَّوْبَة

وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ رَضُوا۟ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥ وَقَالُوا۟ حَسْبُنَا ٱللَّهُ …

Quran 9:59 is ayah 59 of Surah At-Tawbah (“The Repentance”), a Medinan surah of 129 ayahs. It is in Juz 10, on page 196 of the Madani Mushaf.

9:59
وَلَوْأَنَّهُمْرَضُوا۟مَآءَاتَىٰهُمُٱللَّهُوَرَسُولُهُۥوَقَالُوا۟حَسْبُنَاٱللَّهُسَيُؤْتِينَاٱللَّهُمِنفَضْلِهِۦوَرَسُولُهُۥٓإِنَّآإِلَىٱللَّهِرَٰغِبُونَ٥٩
walaw annahum raḍū mā ātāhumu l-lahu warasūluhu waqālū ḥasbunā l-lahu sayu'tīnā l-lahu min faḍlihi warasūluhu innā ilā l-lahi rāghibūna

If only they had been satisfied with what Allāh and His Messenger gave them and said, "Sufficient for us is Allāh; Allāh will give us of His bounty, and [so will] His Messenger; indeed, we are desirous toward Allāh," [it would have been better for them].(59)
