ٱلتَّوْبَة

وَلَا تُعْجِبْكَ أَمْوَٰلُهُمْ وَأَوْلَٰدُهُمْ ۚ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُعَذِّبَهُم بِهَا فِى …

Quran 9:85 is ayah 85 of Surah At-Tawbah (“The Repentance”), a Medinan surah of 129 ayahs. It is in Juz 10, on page 200 of the Madani Mushaf.

9:85
وَلَاتُعْجِبْكَأَمْوَٰلُهُمْوَأَوْلَٰدُهُمْ ۚإِنَّمَايُرِيدُٱللَّهُأَنيُعَذِّبَهُمبِهَافِىٱلدُّنْيَاوَتَزْهَقَأَنفُسُهُمْوَهُمْكَٰفِرُونَ٨٥
walā tuʿ'jib'ka amwāluhum wa-awlāduhum innamā yurīdu l-lahu an yuʿadhibahum bihā fī l-dun'yā watazhaqa anfusuhum wahum kāfirūna

And let not their wealth and their children impress you. Allāh only intends to punish them through them in this world and that their souls should depart [at death] while they are disbelievers.(85)
