Surah Az-Zumar, Ayah 16 (39:16)

ٱلزُّمَر

لَهُم مِّن فَوْقِهِمْ ظُلَلٌ مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ وَمِن تَحْتِهِمْ ظُلَلٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ يُخَوِّفُ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦ …

Quran 39:16 is ayah 16 of Surah Az-Zumar (“The Troops”), a Meccan surah of 75 ayahs. It is in Juz 23, on page 460 of the Madani Mushaf.

39:16
لَهُممِّنفَوْقِهِمْظُلَلٌمِّنَٱلنَّارِوَمِنتَحْتِهِمْظُلَلٌ ۚذَٰلِكَيُخَوِّفُٱللَّهُبِهِۦعِبَادَهُۥ ۚيَٰعِبَادِفَٱتَّقُونِ١٦
lahum min fawqihim ẓulalun mina l-nāri wamin taḥtihim ẓulalun dhālika yukhawwifu l-lahu bihi ʿibādahu yāʿibādi fa-ittaqūni

They will have canopies [i.e., layers] of fire above them and below them, canopies. By that Allāh threatens [i.e., warns] His servants. O My servants, then fear Me.(16)
