Surah Ghafir, Ayah 52 (40:52)

غَافِر

يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ ۖ وَلَهُمُ ٱللَّعْنَةُ وَلَهُمْ سُوٓءُ ٱلدَّارِ

Quran 40:52 is ayah 52 of Surah Ghafir (“The Forgiver”), a Meccan surah of 85 ayahs. It is in Juz 24, on page 473 of the Madani Mushaf.

يَوْمَلَايَنفَعُٱلظَّٰلِمِينَمَعْذِرَتُهُمْ ۖوَلَهُمُٱللَّعْنَةُوَلَهُمْسُوٓءُٱلدَّارِ٥٢
yawma lā yanfaʿu l-ẓālimīna maʿdhiratuhum walahumu l-laʿnatu walahum sūu l-dāri

The Day their excuse will not benefit the wrongdoers, and they will have the curse, and they will have the worst home [i.e., Hell].(52)
