Surah Luqman, Ayah 14 (31:14)

لُقْمَان

وَوَصَّيْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ حَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُۥ وَهْنًا عَلَىٰ وَهْنٍ وَفِصَٰلُهُۥ فِى عَامَيْنِ …

Quran 31:14 is ayah 14 of Surah Luqman (“Luqman”), a Meccan surah of 34 ayahs. It is in Juz 21, on page 412 of the Madani Mushaf.

31:14
وَوَصَّيْنَاٱلْإِنسَٰنَبِوَٰلِدَيْهِحَمَلَتْهُأُمُّهُۥوَهْنًاعَلَىٰوَهْنٍوَفِصَٰلُهُۥفِىعَامَيْنِأَنِٱشْكُرْلِىوَلِوَٰلِدَيْكَإِلَىَّٱلْمَصِيرُ١٤
wawaṣṣaynā l-insāna biwālidayhi ḥamalathu ummuhu wahnan ʿalā wahnin wafiṣāluhu fī ʿāmayni ani ush'kur lī waliwālidayka ilayya l-maṣīru

And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination.(14)

  17. ٱلْمَصِيرُl-maṣīru(is) the destination
