يُوسُف

ٱقْتُلُوا۟ يُوسُفَ أَوِ ٱطْرَحُوهُ أَرْضًا يَخْلُ لَكُمْ وَجْهُ أَبِيكُمْ وَتَكُونُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ …

Quran 12:9 is ayah 9 of Surah Yusuf (“Joseph”), a Meccan surah of 111 ayahs. It is in Juz 12, on page 236 of the Madani Mushaf.

ٱقْتُلُوا۟يُوسُفَأَوِٱطْرَحُوهُأَرْضًايَخْلُلَكُمْوَجْهُأَبِيكُمْوَتَكُونُوا۟مِنۢبَعْدِهِۦقَوْمًاصَٰلِحِينَ٩
uq'tulū yūsufa awi iṭ'raḥūhu arḍan yakhlu lakum wajhu abīkum watakūnū min baʿdihi qawman ṣāliḥīna

Kill Joseph or cast him out to [another] land; the countenance [i.e., attention] of your father will [then] be only for you, and you will be after that a righteous people."(9)
