Surah Al-Hajj, Ayah 30 (22:30)

ٱلْحَجّ

ذَٰلِكَ وَمَن يُعَظِّمْ حُرُمَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦ ۗ وَأُحِلَّتْ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمُ …

Quran 22:30 is ayah 30 of Surah Al-Hajj (“The Pilgrimage”), a Medinan surah of 78 ayahs. It is in Juz 17, on page 335 of the Madani Mushaf.

ذَٰلِكَوَمَنيُعَظِّمْحُرُمَٰتِٱللَّهِفَهُوَخَيْرٌلَّهُۥعِندَرَبِّهِۦ ۗوَأُحِلَّتْلَكُمُٱلْأَنْعَٰمُإِلَّامَايُتْلَىٰعَلَيْكُمْ ۖفَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟ٱلرِّجْسَمِنَٱلْأَوْثَٰنِوَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟قَوْلَٱلزُّورِ٣٠
dhālika waman yuʿaẓẓim ḥurumāti l-lahi fahuwa khayrun lahu ʿinda rabbihi wa-uḥillat lakumu l-anʿāmu illā mā yut'lā ʿalaykum fa-ij'tanibū l-rij'sa mina l-awthāni wa-ij'tanibū qawla l-zūri

That [has been commanded], and whoever honors the sacred ordinances of Allāh - it is best for him in the sight of his Lord. And permitted to you are the grazing livestock, except what is recited to you. So avoid the uncleanliness of idols and avoid false statement,(30)

  18. فَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟fa-ij'tanibūSo avoid
  19. ٱلرِّجْسَl-rij'sathe abomination
  20. مِنَminaof
  21. ٱلْأَوْثَٰنِl-awthānithe idols
  22. وَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟wa-ij'tanibūand avoid
