Surah Al-Mu'minun, Ayah 44 (23:44)

ٱلْمُؤْمِنُون

ثُمَّ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا تَتْرَا ۖ كُلَّ مَا جَآءَ أُمَّةً رَّسُولُهَا كَذَّبُوهُ ۚ فَأَتْبَعْنَا …

Quran 23:44 is ayah 44 of Surah Al-Mu'minun (“The Believers”), a Meccan surah of 118 ayahs. It is in Juz 18, on page 345 of the Madani Mushaf.

ثُمَّأَرْسَلْنَارُسُلَنَاتَتْرَا ۖكُلَّمَاجَآءَأُمَّةًرَّسُولُهَاكَذَّبُوهُ ۚفَأَتْبَعْنَابَعْضَهُمبَعْضًاوَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْأَحَادِيثَ ۚفَبُعْدًالِّقَوْمٍلَّايُؤْمِنُونَ٤٤
thumma arsalnā rusulanā tatrā kulla mā jāa ummatan rasūluhā kadhabūhu fa-atbaʿnā baʿḍahum baʿḍan wajaʿalnāhum aḥādītha fabuʿ'dan liqawmin lā yu'minūna

Then We sent Our messengers in succession. Every time there came to a nation its messenger, they denied him, so We made them follow one another [to destruction], and We made them narrations. So away with a people who do not believe.(44)
