Surah Ali 'Imran, Ayah 44 (3:44)

آلِ عِمْرَان

ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ أَنۢبَآءِ ٱلْغَيْبِ نُوحِيهِ إِلَيْكَ ۚ وَمَا كُنتَ لَدَيْهِمْ إِذْ يُلْقُونَ أَقْلَٰمَهُمْ …

Quran 3:44 is ayah 44 of Surah Ali 'Imran (“Family of Imran”), a Medinan surah of 200 ayahs. It is in Juz 3, on page 55 of the Madani Mushaf.

ذَٰلِكَمِنْأَنۢبَآءِٱلْغَيْبِنُوحِيهِإِلَيْكَ ۚوَمَاكُنتَلَدَيْهِمْإِذْيُلْقُونَأَقْلَٰمَهُمْأَيُّهُمْيَكْفُلُمَرْيَمَوَمَاكُنتَلَدَيْهِمْإِذْيَخْتَصِمُونَ٤٤
dhālika min anbāi l-ghaybi nūḥīhi ilayka wamā kunta ladayhim idh yul'qūna aqlāmahum ayyuhum yakfulu maryama wamā kunta ladayhim idh yakhtaṣimūna

That is from the news of the unseen which We reveal to you, [O Muḥammad]. And you were not with them when they cast their pens as to which of them should be responsible for Mary. Nor were you with them when they disputed.(44)
