Surah At-Tawbah, Ayah 44 (9:44)

ٱلتَّوْبَة

لَا يَسْتَْٔذِنُكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلَْٔاخِرِ أَن يُجَٰهِدُوا۟ بِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْ …

Quran 9:44 is ayah 44 of Surah At-Tawbah (“The Repentance”), a Medinan surah of 129 ayahs. It is in Juz 10, on page 194 of the Madani Mushaf.

9:44
لَايَسْتَْٔذِنُكَٱلَّذِينَيُؤْمِنُونَبِٱللَّهِوَٱلْيَوْمِٱلَْٔاخِرِأَنيُجَٰهِدُوا۟بِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْوَأَنفُسِهِمْ ۗوَٱللَّهُعَلِيمٌۢبِٱلْمُتَّقِينَ٤٤
lā yastadhinuka alladhīna yu'minūna bil-lahi wal-yawmi l-ākhiri an yujāhidū bi-amwālihim wa-anfusihim wal-lahu ʿalīmun bil-mutaqīna

Those who believe in Allāh and the Last Day would not ask permission of you to be excused from striving [i.e., fighting] with their wealth and their lives. And Allāh is Knowing of those who fear Him.(44)
