Surah Maryam, Ayah 17 (19:17)

مَرْيَم

فَٱتَّخَذَتْ مِن دُونِهِمْ حِجَابًا فَأَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهَا رُوحَنَا فَتَمَثَّلَ لَهَا بَشَرًا …

Quran 19:17 is ayah 17 of Surah Maryam (“Mary”), a Meccan surah of 98 ayahs. It is in Juz 16, on page 306 of the Madani Mushaf.

فَٱتَّخَذَتْمِندُونِهِمْحِجَابًافَأَرْسَلْنَآإِلَيْهَارُوحَنَافَتَمَثَّلَلَهَابَشَرًاسَوِيًّا١٧
fa-ittakhadhat min dūnihim ḥijāban fa-arsalnā ilayhā rūḥanā fatamathala lahā basharan sawiyyan

And she took, in seclusion from them, a screen. Then We sent to her Our Angel [i.e., Gabriel], and he represented himself to her as a well-proportioned man.(17)
